When you can, try riding a bike, walking, carpooling or take the bus to reduce the amount of fossil fuel usage.

For environmental health and to save money try using less water. By doing this, you’ll be contributing to keeping water where it belongs, in rivers, estuaries and bays. Conserving water involves making small changes such as fixing leaky faucets, taking shorter showers, and purchasing more efficient fixtures like a low-flow toilet or a WaterSense rated washing machine and dishwasher.

Reducing carbon emissions isn’t only limited to driving less. You can significantly fix drafts and lower your energy bill by sealing air leaks with caulking and insulation. Instead of using regular incandescent light bulbs buy LED lights or compact fluorescents. When lights or other electricity is not in use remember to turn them off.
